Which Pannier? THAT is the question.
Ahhh...which Pannier....THAT is the question.
I've just come across Queen Bee Creations in Portland, Oregon. They do "hip" bags for mums and dads and have started selling panniers. It's great to see some diversification out there in the offerings to cyclists...for those of us who try hard not to wear the shiny stuff. Trust Portland, Oregon to come up with such great designers. Oregon is decades ahead of New South Wales in terms of cycling infrastructure and the design obviously follows suit.

The Gorge to Berowra
Thanks to m_a_r_k_y for all his wonderful Flickr cycling photo collections in and around Sydney. Marky's recent photo set entitled The Gorge and Berowra looks enticing...even the hill climbs!

Chicken A La Bike...
I subscribe to New York Times' Fashion & Style updates and their Urban Eye updates. Amazing how things go full circle. I see these gorgeous, retro bikes and accessories in their Whose Bike Are You Wearing? article and I gush. Then, I check out dc.streetsblog.org and see the Ugandan entry for the Bikes at Work Where You Live photo submission (about 20 chickens hanging off every bike rail on the way to be sold at the weekly market ) and I bet the fellow featured riding to market just wants a powerful electric bike, not a fur covered saddle. Still, each to their own. That's the beauty of bikes...
