Start Making Sense, Making Sense - David Byrne's "Cycle Diaries" out soon.
Ex Talking Heads frontman, David Byrne, has been travelling around the world for 20 years with his foldable bike. Can't wait to read and review it here on Sydney Cycle Chic.

Sydney Design - Carbonwood Bicycle
Sydney Design received a lot of flack from unimpressed visitors to the powerhouse museum this year (including moi!) but I found this great piece accidentally at a side exhibition at Chifley Tower lobby.

BFF Bloody F..... Funny
I just love the adsurdity of this photo...borrowed from the Bicyle Film Festival (BFF), San Diego. Especially in light of the below article re President Obama. Perhaps a giant coloured foam headpiece in shape of a big "O"??? Or after an hour of riding and sweating he will need a "B" and an "O"..."BO".

Cycle Friendly Cities. Evolution...Not Revolution
How to create cycle-friendly cities? That is the question. Punctuated in this inspiring Radio New Zealand radio show "Cycle Friendly Cities", is the idea that it's an evolution not a revolution and it embraces the idea that cycling is not just for testosterone laden lycra-clad sporty types but for utility and recreation and commuting ie. just as natural as walking with your two legs. It has taken Copenhagen decades. This interview features Bicycle Culture Consultant Mikael Colville-Anderson; Wellington City Councillor Celia Wade-Brown, and BikeNZ CEO Kieran Turner.
A Change is-a-Coming/New York New York
A change is a coming New York New York.
OK so the woman on the wheelchair? Cycle Chic? A bit of a stretch but watching this video and knowing something's going on in New York New York is good news for Sydney and points to the real yearning for 2 wheeler options and a cycle friendly city. Have you experienced New York traffic????? They are brave girls and boys even IF half the locals have left town for the customary August hiatus.
"Someday".....as Bernstein's West Side Story Classic suggests.
Thanks Bill Cunningham. Love watching your regular videos. And..., helmets...a must! Just gotta find some tres chic ones...
